Fashion Faux Pas Averted

Yesterday, after Church my daughter changed out of her Sunday dress. Since we wouldn't be going anywhere that I would be severely judged for her appearance, I let her pick her own outfit.

She came downstairs wearing a plain white t-shirt and a plain white skirt. They are the same color, so they must go together, right?

As we were loading up the car to head to my parents for dinner my husband pointed out that at least it wasn't after Labor day. . .

Cute...I'm impressed your husband knew such etiquette!

Funny. It's hard to let them pick the clothes you never know what your going to get!!!

Technically, the rule is no white SHOES after Labor Day, but who's counting. :)

I'm sure she looked adorable.

Nice work, hubby! Oh the outfits they can put together, huh?

Sounds like she did awesome. My son wore white shorts with black pin stripes and an orange and brown horizontal stripped polo shirt. My birthday party was yesterday. Hahaha. I love their crazy outfits. As for white after Labor Day, in CA it simply doesn't matter. White is year round here. Shoes and otherwise.eve

At least he noticed.
Saturday morning I wasn't home so my DH picked out some clothes for our 4 year old to wear.
The pants were way too small and they showed his cute little ankles. I finally got him to change them when I explained to him that boys don't wear capri pants.

Ah, a fashion diva already eh. Who made up the rule "no white after Labor Day". I didn't think there were anymore fashion rules anymore, after all, HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT PEOPLE ARE WEARING THESE DAYS --sheeeesh.
p.s. the comment from Emma , she is my Daughter. Drop by her blog and say hello.
I should be back to regular blogging now and look forward to keeping better in touch with everyone.

I totally wore my white and pink shoes today...oh, and I totally plan to wear them for the rest of the winter too! Screw the rule, right?

Alex did the other thing with yellow the other day. A solid light yellow shirt and a little yellow skirt. "They match" she told me. I couldn't convince her to wear anything else.
And Lucas, well he still lets me dress him. It is such a girl thing :)

Very cute.

I routinely let Ethan choose what he wants to wear. Sometimes I just close my eyes and shake my head.

That's funny that your husband would know or remember that fashion "rule". Mine wouldn't have a clue, but maybe that's just because I don't really care either...that must be it. (This comment was made in my "just thinking out loud" mode. Don't pay any attention...)
