Discussion Time

You know how in movies when you see a couple sleeping they are always snuggled up together?  Does this actually happen in real life? Are there really people out there who sleep like this?

Or are you practiced in the hug and roll technique?

We snuggle for a few minutes or until appendages start falling asleep or start cramping, i.e arms, shoulders, necks :)

Definitely do not sleep cuddled. We cuddle for a minute while saying goodnight, but then it is off to our own sides. Eric has this ability to fall asleep pretty much immediately and he tends to twitch a bit when he is sleeping so there is no way I could fall asleep snuggled up with him.

We are definitely hug and rollers. Well, I am. I wake up to Superman trying to cuddle and me nearly falling off the bed and suffocating. But when I ask him nicely to scoot over, he whimpers. Every time I do it, he dreams that I'm leaving him or something horrible.

Yeah....it's lots of fun.....

Are you kidding!?! If my husband dares to cross a toe over my side of our giant California King he gets a swift kick. Poor guy!

We snuggled when we were dating, but then Paul always jokes we loved each other more...and now we would never snuggle. LOL.

When we were young, we snuggled but now that we are older, we just can't stay in the same position for more than a few minutes without aches and pains. A very sad state of affairs, indeed.

We snuggle for a mintue but the heat affects me and I sweat. I also snore like a bear so rolling over is the only option.

Two spoons in the drawer all night long...if he tries to escape I put a choke hold on him.

We are hand holders until it's time to go to sleep, and then we can't touch. No touching when we sleep. It helps to have a king sized bed.

Well since Rich is the seminary principal, he goes to bed about 2 hours before me. He is usually sawing logs. When we do go to bed at the same time, we might hold hands a few minutes. But for me, I need to be left alone, the room needs to be the right temp...etc. Yep, I'm a high maintenance gal. Oh, and upon seeing the vid, I immediately flashed on the episode where Joey and Ross took a nap together on the couch!!

We are totally cuddlers, of course not all night long, but if he or I wakes up in the middle of the night and we're not cuddling, we usually start over......I see now after reading everybody elses answers that we must be weird.

Sam loves to cuddle and would do it all night long. I, on the other hand, can't sleep AT ALL if he is touching me. So usually we cuddle on his side until I'm wound down, then I roll to my side and go to sleep. And he's not allowed to touch me. :)

ps. you are really good at coming up with discussion topics. I mean REALLY GOOD. My only complaint is that I'm always dying to know what you think about the topic!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

The "hug n roll" is a byword in our home.

But really and truly, we cuddle all night. If one of us wakes up on the other side, neither of us can fall back asleep "alone."

So, so cheesy, I know.

We're 1/2 and 1/2. MWF we cuddle. No I'm just kidding. But really we're 1/2 and 1/2.

It all depends on the temperature for me. My husband doesn't really care one way or the other, but if it's too hot, I can't have him touching me at all. If it's freezing, I WILL use his body heat to warm myself up, and that means cuddling.

I have always been a big snuggler ----and I guess since I am now still "newly married" we are stuck together like glue. It took us 40 years fo "re-find" each other, I'm not letting him loose for anything.
I'll suffer an arm or leg going to sleep for it.

Sometimes we stay cuddled for half the night, but mostly we do the hug and roll. Luckily we each enjoy our own space when sleeping.

*I can't believe I don't even remember that Friends episode. I thought I'd seen them all about 100 times each! :)
