Usually I shop year round for christmas. This year things are a little tighter so I don't have as much done as I would like. Sometimes I shop the day after christmas sales. Except I wait a day or two after. Alot of time they still have just as much available as they did the day after. But with less crowding.
I actually do a ton of my shopping online. It's so much easier. And I can find things on Ebay for much cheaper.
What the heck happened to October? This year: I'm baking gifts as much as possible. Found you through SITS. :)
Christmas shopping has been on my mind all week too! I cannot believe it is November already. I'm starting to get a bit panicky. I hate waiting until the last minute to get my shopping done, but it looks like that's the track I'm on this year. I would love to have it all done by Thanksgiving, but that will be a major stretch.
I never wait until Christmas Eve but seem years I have it done sooner than others.. right now I am about half done. That is due to the fact that my in-laws are coming at Thanksgiving and I want to have everything ready for the Utah people so they can just take it back with them (free shipping!)
This year I'm making everything for everyone except my kids.I've already started. The kids will mostly get toys and books from online. Ordered in time to get here, but after the my credit card billing date in Novemeber :)
I'm guilty of waiting until the week of Christmas for stocking stuffers but I try to get the main stuff done by Thanksgiving. Good reminder for me to get started!
I'm a no on both---it hasn't been done yet, but it WILL be done long before Christmas Eve!
Well I haven't started yet, but I won't wait that long, sometime between now and then. I already have two birthday in November to shop for, I can't think of christmas yet!
I don't think I have ever shopped on Christmas Eve. I have worked it tho. Not fun. I have shopped on Black Friday. I get kind of a rush from it. I have worked that one too. No rush, just a migraine. Be nice to your cashier because the six people in front of you were not. Christmas is not on my mind...yet. I am not ready. Money is tight, but then it's tight for most.
I'm about halfway done. (A lot of the stuff I still have to buy is done on the internet, anyway.) It also helps that in our family, we MAKE half our gifts. Everyone makes one, buys one - for both sides of the family. And then our immediate family, too.I've been working on my "makes" for a while now - actually just finished one this afternoon!I have nightmares that I wake up on Christmas morning without any presents for anyone. These nightmares generally start in September.
I haven't even started. I do most of it online which makes things a lot easier.
I don't by Christmas Eve...but I can't start shopping now, because I am really bad at keeping secrets. I do know that my unborn son will be receiving a new crib, dresser, and clothes. LOL.
I've started, but am at a loss as to what to get for a few people on my list.I usually buy a few things here and there in October/November, and then make a huge push after Thanksgiving.
Every year I promise that "next year I'll start in July!" but I never do.We are definitely downsizing in the gift department and will try to do most of the shopping online.
