Drama King?

So, when I was pregnant with my son I heard A LOT about how boys are SOOOO much easier than girls.  Boys are not nearly as dramatic. Yes, they are energetic and wild, but there are no temper tantrums.

Everyone lied.

My boys are about 10 times more dramatic than my girls ever were.

For example: When my 18 month old gets upset he throws himself to the floor. Literally.  It doesn't help that we have hardwood on the main floor. You would think he would learn, but no, he is too busy showing his displeasure by going limp and screaming bloody murder.  And this isn't just when he's tired or hungry. No. This happens ALL. THE. TIME.

And my soon to be 3 year old.  Oh, MY.  This kid is a roller coaster of emotions almost constantly.  When he gets mad, he clenches his fists and screams like a little girl (or boy).  He is more shrill than his sisters.  By a large margin.  He has also been known to flail and spit.

Don't be fooled by their cuteness. These two are drama queens in disguise.

Yes, but when you are so stinkin' cute, being dramatic doesn't really matter, right? That hair... I can't get over that curly hair!

My newby grandbaby is a boy (set to arrive in Sept.) My daughter is glad because she says she "knows how to raise boys.) She has twin soon to be five boys. But...I'm not saying she knows HOW to raise boys. Hers throw tantrums too. I think boys are far more volatile than girls--and hers are not cuddly. Your boys are adorable as well as dramatic.

It's the red hair :). But yes my son has his own crazy level of emotions... He really wears his emotions on his sleeves.

That's so funny. I've always said the same thing about boys and girls! I wonder if they will be drama kings as teenagers, though.

Hahahahahahaha! Who told you there would be no temper tantrums?! That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Also, everyone told me my little girl would be so much harder than the boys. They lied too! Easy as pie.

It always cracks me up when people make generalizations like that. Each child is an individual. Several years ago a friend of mine {who only had boys at the time} said "You are able to keep your house so clean because you have girls. They're not as messy." Um, no, I keep my house clean because I work my bum off picking up after my MESSY girls all.day.long! :) And, you know, it's really not all that clean ;) People are funny.

You speak the truth!!! My daughter was an angel! Then the boys came along. They are almost the exact ages as yours, 17 months and just-turned-3. What rascals they are!

I have some drama kings, myself. I think it has a lot more to do with personality than sex of the child!
