Tuesday Confessional

Two things:

The word 'yummy' bugs me. It's one thing to use it in a conversation with a child, but when speaking with other adults?  It just annoys me.

Also. an overabundance of exclamation points.  As in, every. single. sentence ends in an exclamation point.  It totally negates the use of the exclamation point.  And in my head it's really annoying to read it like:

"It's so EASY! Unless you don't know what you're DOING! Then it's really HARD!"

Seriously, guys. TAMN has the market cornered.

TAMN does have the market cornered, and it is annoying. But I have to disagree on the word "yummy". For example, Gerard Butler is so YUMMY!

Yummy bugs me too. Kiddos makes me want to throw up. Hate, hate that word in any context. I don't dare post the things that I hate on my blog because half of the people I know would be offended and I only know a couple of people. Funny how words have such a violent effect on me.

I don't mind "yummy" but, I usually simply say "yum." I am a horrible offender of over using the exclamation point. I proof read all my comments, and I would say 80% of time, I end up thinking, "That's a lot of exclamation points. Maybe I could tone it done a little."

I am not overly fond of the word, "puke." Just say throw up, barf, vomit. "Puke" just seems crude to me.

Totally with you on the exclamation points. And smiley faces as well. They are a necessary evil, but I try to use them as infrequently as possible.

I think "yummy" is perfectly acceptable when used in the context of sexy, foreign actors as Pearl commented.

I am a total over-user of exclamation points, I admit it. I don't mind the word yummy so much. The things that really bug me are the constant smiley faces at the end of sentences, and millions of LOL's everywhere. Its so ANNOYING. (I had to refrain from using an exclamation point right there)

You MUST hate me!!!!!

Never minded Yummy! I do usually try to keep my exclamation points to a minimum! But I can't help my extreme love of semi-colons!!

And that is why I do not read TAMN. Drives me batty. And away, apparently.

I don't mind yummy, as long as we're talking about food. Saying a person is yummy, or paper, or a couch. That's just weird.

I generally use "yummy" when referring to children. Is that bad?

Now I have to check my posts for an overabundance of exclamation points ...
