Monday Giveway Part 2: UPS Store

I know what you are thinking:  Nary a giveaway in months and then two in one day?  I know. It's awesome. It also makes me remember that giveaways are kind of fun.  Hmmmm. . . . .

Anyway,  tis the season for UPS, is it not?  So, I took a little trip to their store on Saturday.  I hadn't planned on going on a Saturday, but my week wasn't so terribly awesome.  So, I was a bit worried that I would have to stand in line forever, it being the Saturday, 2 weeks before Christmas and all. I got there at 9, which, it turns out is when it opens. And I was the first person in the store.  Hallelujah.  I actually asked the clerk if it was strange that it wasn't so busy. He told me that early Saturday morning isn't bad.  The afternoon on the other hand. . . .  So, tip one: go first thing in the morning.

First thing that happened when I walked in the store:  The clerk offered me a cookie. A warm cookie.  A warm English Toffee cookie. And all of a sudden it didn't really matter that it was 9:00 in the morning and far too early for cookies. (It was good by the way.) I had a couple of things to take care of, color copies, shipping a package and buying stamps.  The clerk took care of the color copies while I put stamps on all of my Christmas cards, which he then mailed for me.  Oh, and the color copies are great.  A lovely friend of mind inspired this idea years ago.  Instead of scrapbooking everything twice (or now,  4 times)  just make color copies. That way everyone has their own book with everything in it and I don't spend my entire life trying to catch up on my scrapbook. (And let's be honest. Once I got more than a year behind, I kind of gave up.)  But these were the last pages that needed to be copied to go in the scrapbooks.

Anyway, when I was there I chatted with the clerk a bit. I had no idea how much you could do there.  Printing, laminating, binding, they even make custom calendars.  And that is on top of the packaging and shipping that everyone already knows about.

So, the UPS store has offered to give one of my readers 50 FREE color copies.  (Limited to a UTAH store.  Sorry, every body else!)
