tuesday confessional

Pretty much the minute Christmas is over,
I can not wait to put everything away.
Get the tree down.
And, for the first time in a month,
have a clean house.

i bet my husband wishes i was like you! i would leave my tree up till valentine's day if he would let me! i take all the christmas decor down the morning after christmas and take all the ornmanets off the tree. i leave the lights on the tree and my greenery with lights on the piano and fireplace mantel - but other than that all the christmas stuff is down by the morning after christmas. i just love the lights on the tree and greenery around the house. i leave them on during the day when we are home - otherwise i think the tree looks ugly. haha. like i said, i bet my hubby wishes i was like you!

I've been known to take the tree down the afternoon of Christmas Day. This year I didn't even put up a tree, but the three decorations I did spring for are packed up. I'm in the process of reorganizing my sewing room. I go nuts sometimes and just have to tidy up. Watch out, Lola, you're likely to be pressed and folded.

That is what I did all day yesterday. We shall see how long it lasts being clean! :)

I took my decorations down BEFORE Christmas. That's what happens when you go to your parents for the holiday:)

It's a tradition of mine if I have time to take it down on Christmas day. It never feels so good to go to sleep after all the chaos then the night of Christmas day.
