Book Review: Miss Delacourt has her Day

I am a romantic at heart. No matter what happens to me or mine,  no matter how cynical I find myself becoming, I am a romantic at heart. I am a sucker for a gentleman and a lady falling in love.  I am an even bigger sucker for that gentleman doing WHATEVER it takes to win said lady.

Which is why I fell head over heels for Heidi Ashworth's new book, Miss Delacourt has her Day.  This delightful story is a follow up to her first regency novel, Miss Delacourt Speaks her Mind.   For those who haven't read the first one, I'll try to sum it up without giving too much away: It is a love story, a clever love story between Ginny Delacourt and Sir Anthony Crenshaw.  I loved the first one, and when Heidi announced that the sequel was finished, I was delighted and couldn't wait to read it.  I am happy to report that it did not disappoint.

Miss Delacourt and Sir Anthony find each other in Miss Delacourt Speaks her Mind.  But their love is solidified in Miss Delacourt has her Day.  Sir Anthony is surprised to find more opposition for his decision than he expected.  He finds himself faced with some daunting challenges in order to make his dreams come true.

Miss Delacourt has her Day is full of the personality and wit that made Ashworth's first book so wonderful.  We are introduced to a few new characters, and have a humorous glimpse into the lives of the familiar Lucinda Barrington and Lord Avery.  And of course, Sir Anthony is as dashing as ever!

If you get a chance, pick up Miss Delacourt has her Day.  You won't regret it.   And if you are looking for another great blog to read, be sure to stop by and visit Heidi at Dunhaven Place.  Then you can brag that you actually know the author of your favorite book!
